Method
- In a bowl, mix together: cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract.
- Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the filling onto 2 slices of keto bread.
- Top with the remaining slices to create sandwiches.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together: eggs, almond milk,heavy cream,vanilla,cinnamon, sweetener
- Quickly dip each sandwich into the custard mixture on both sides.
- Do not oversoak. Keto bread absorbs liquid quickly.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Cook each side for about 3–4 minutes until: golden brown outside and warm, creamy inside
- Top with: berries, cinnamon, sugar-free syrup, powdered sugar.
- Serve warm.
Notes
We tested this recipe multiple ways and found that keto bread becomes too soft if soaked too long in the custard. For best results, quickly dip each side and cook over medium-low heat so the center warms through without burning the outside
