Glazed Pork Belly

Ingredients
  

  • Pork Belly
  • 1 –1.5 lb thick-cut pork belly
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Glazed Pork Belly Sauce :
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp monk fruit sweetener
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil

Method
 

  1. Cut pork belly into 1–1.5 inch cubes
  2. Pat dry thoroughly
  3. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Oven Method (Best for crispy texture):
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F
  6. Spread pork belly on a baking sheet
  7. Bake for 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway
  8. Air Fryer Option:
  9. Cook at 375°F for 18–22 minutes
  10. Shake halfway
  11. Add sauce ingredients to a pan
  12. Cook on low–medium heat
  13. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes
  14. Add crispy pork belly to the glaze
  15. Toss quickly to coat
  16. Cook 1–2 minutes max

Notes

We tested this recipe with both a diluted glaze and a no-water glaze, and found that removing the water creates a thicker, more concentrated sauce that coats the pork belly better. For best results, cook the glaze on low heat and stir continuously to prevent burning, since it thickens quickly without added liquid.
