Method
- Using a paring knife, slice each date lengthwise just enough to remove the pit and create a small pocket. Keep one side intact so the date holds its shape.
- In a small bowl, combine Neufchâtel cheese, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Spoon or pipe the cinnamon-cream-cheese filling into each date, letting it slightly round at the top
- Press sliced almonds or chopped walnuts gently on top for crunch and presentation.
