Method
- Pound chicken breast into thin cutlets
- Season with salt and pepper
- Dip into beaten egg
- Coat with almond flour, parmesan, and seasoning mixture
- Press breading firmly so it sticks
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F
- Spray chicken with olive oil
- Place in air fryer basket in a single layer
- 8–10 minutes total
- Flip halfway through
- Spray again after flipping
- Make the Caesar Salad:
- Toss romaine lettuce with parmesan
- Mix dressing separately, then combine
- Assemble:
- Place crispy chicken cutlets on a plate
- Top with Caesar salad
- Finish with lemon juice and extra parmesan
Notes
We tested this recipe multiple ways and found that pounding the chicken very thin is what creates the best crispy air fryer texture. For best results, we recommend spraying the breaded chicken with olive oil before and after flipping to help the crust turn golden and not dry.
