Arrachera Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb tenderized cleaned skirt steak (arrachera)
  • 1 packet Sazón
  • Optional: 1 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. Pat the skirt steak dry and season both sides evenly with Sazón.
  2. Heat a skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium-high heat until very hot.
  3. Add oil if using. Cook the skirt steak for 2–3 minutes per side.
  4. Do not overcook—this cut cooks quickly.
  5. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain into thin strips.

Notes

We tested this arrachera recipe with both regular and tenderized skirt steak and found that tenderized, cleaned meat cooks faster and stays more tender. For best results, use high heat and avoid overcooking to keep the steak juicy.
